Juicy Pulled Pork Slow Cooker Style

This is a great tasting slow cooker pulled pork recipe that is sure to wow any of your fellow diners. This recipe is easy to follow and is sure to please.

 

 

 

 

Ingredients

 

5 lbs pork shoulder
1 c. BBQ sauce
2 c. beef stock
1 tbsp. table salt (or to taste)
2 tsp. cracked black pepper
1 tsp. granulated garlic (or to taste)
1 tsp. onion powder (or to taste)
1 tbsp. smoked paprika

 

First combine all the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Then rub all the dry ingredients on the pork, covering it completely. Wrap the pork completely in aluminum foil and store overnight in the refrigerator.

Using a grill or griddle, which has a grilling side, sear the meat thoroughly creating grill marks.

Now to prepare the Crock-pot by combining the beef stock and BBQ sauce. Then add the pork shoulder to the slow cooker.

The slow cooking is a two step process. Set the Crock-Pot on high for 8 hours and then half way through turn meat over to the other side.

Once the pork is ready remove the meat from the Crock-pot and mash it up by hand. Add 1 1/2 cups of the liquid from the crock for serving and enjoy!
